For the Yanks that are homesick, one can visit TGI Fridays, or
Uncle Guillys which is an American bar and Grill. The Italians are
also
well represented in the city and pizza is a popular dish with the
younger generation in particular. Papa Johns, Sbarro, Patio Pizza
and Pizza Express are all here awaiting your appetite. The expensive
La Cipolla dOro is where the Italian president visited before.
German restaurants such as the Schwein restaurant, the Beer Bar
and the Bierstube will keep you fed and well watered. The Butterfly
and
the Brasserie du Soleil are representing the finest French food
are great value and the more expensive Le Chaletand Le Duc
is quite expensive
but great food.
Asian restaurants are aplenty. For Chinese, go to Dinastiia, or
the reasonable priced Junk Boat and the Temple of the Moon are
great value and very popular. Japanese Restaurants are also littered
around the city, with the likes of Sushi, Laluna and the Jakitorja.
South Korean food is beautiful and has its own distinct flavour
so get yourself to the Silla for a sample.
The Hola Mexico has the usual Tex/Mex fare and the burritos, the
Tacos and is becoming more popular in the city. La Cantina bar
and the Santa Fe is great for the tequila and burritos and one
can play a game of pool here. The Pancho Villa is another Mexican
spot which serves up huge portions so it might be worth starving
yourself for the day before you come here.
The list of restaurants above only scratches the surface and one
needs to go and witness first hand all the different choices that
this great city offers the visitor. Its no mean feast.
